Welcome to Leicester Hockey Club Online

Make sure you check the Twitter feed (on the right) to make sure that training is on for both Senior and Junior Teams during the cold weather when the pitch is likely to freeze over.

We currently play our home matches at Leicester Grammar School and run four senior men’s teams playing in the Midlands Region Leagues, a Masters (Veterans) team and two Mixed teams playing in the Leicestershire Mixed Hockey League. In addition, the LHC provision includes 20 different squads each week (we run our own junior and senior leagues on Thursday evenings).

We have a well established hockey development programme for boys and girls from primary school age all the way up to senior hockey.

Our Teams

Leicester Hockey Club has invested heavily in supporting members to complete coaching and umpiring courses to help create a suitable environment in which to develop young players to an elite standard.

Our Venue

Leicester Hockey Club has a formal long-term agreement with Leicester Grammar School. We have excellent exclusive access to some of the best hockey facilities in the UK, including the water-based pitch, sand-based pitch, indoor sports hall and pavilion changing rooms.

Youth Hockey

Hockey is directed by Neil Murray and a considerable number of talented coaches. We provide coaching all year round for all age groups. Neil Murray is also the Club Welfare Officer.
